The new branding system for Luminate Festival (2023) needed to engage a diverse audience, appealing to fans of both seminal artists as well as emerging young talent. A moody, atmospheric design was developed within the new graphic system, featuring grainy backgrounds and a flexible set of geometric patterns. These patterns serve as dynamic photo containers, creating a cohesive visual language across both print and digital platforms.
First launched in July 2023 for the Luminate Festival, the branding was refreshed in November 2023 for the year-long Luminate series. A set of new gradient backgrounds and geometric textures were introduced, to use across different formats and media.
